I have a confession…
One of my new year resolutions was to be an active gym goer and for someone like myself I’m supposed to take self-improvement seriously but unfortunately, here I am. I’m not happy with myself because I failed to do what I set myself to do. Fortunately for me, I’m a podcaster and I needed someone to set my goals straight, to remind me the type of man I could be, the type of man I should aspire to be.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to interview one of the most talented people in my small network, someone with the body I fantasize I’ll one day have, the relationship I dream of, the talent I don’t have and the money and experience I pray one day I have. This man thought me what I could do differently, what I could be doing and not do.
He also thought to be the value of trusting the process, planning 5 steps and most importantly there’s hope if you don’t start early or you miss the first time. Paschal, his name, aka De Lazy Artist is one of the few Nigerians I know that worked hard for a dream and thou the country wasn’t promising they found a way to make it work in their favour. A Lagos boy who aspired to become a football but couldn’t make it, he travelled to Benin and from there to Portugal where he practise art, crypto trading and fitness coaching. To be honest I’m flabbergasted.
Yes, I was able to learn a lot from him but it’s not about learning and filling your brain with dopamine, it’s about doing the work, going to the gym and if you can’t do a home workout, finding time, dedicate your life to something and never give up.
If it doesn’t work out now, don’t give up try another way.
I learnt one thing also from Paschal, the importance of working for yourself and creating multiple sources of income for yourself. He has the freedom to go to the gym which I don’t. He makes money for himself and doesn’t depend on anyone but that’s because he’s talented and not only that he’s part of the creator economy - that’s another story for another day.

An NPC, Non-player Character is an individual who is a slave to their programming, slave to their destiny. An NPC live a life that is premeditated, go to school → get a job → retire at 65 and sadly die.
An NPC never admits they are stuck in a system but they are. If you ask a students why they go to school many would say to get a job or those that have a job, “would you leave to take the risk of starting your business?” their default answer is “do you know how bad the economy is? It is hard to make it in this day and age” but we know it is false.
What makes people an NPC is mindset conditioning. Growing up many have been told that taking risk is dangerous without any reason and solution. People are hardly thought the benefits of taking risk and questioning reality.
During COVID we saw those who truly are NPC, we were told stay at home, wear a mask, take a vaccine to save live but all were false. I won't lie, I was an NPC but now I'm beginning to question reality.
How not...

This is DMX, on this day 2 years ago, he died. He could be here today but he's dead.
That's not all, take a look at his father, a man with multiple sperms but we got DMX one of the greatest rappers of all time, imagine the rest that could have come out from his father.
Most times, we talk about life of those we could see what about those we couldn't? What of XMD, MXD or so on? That's the moral of today's video.
Neil deGrasse Tyson said this in a video, "there could be trillions of people that could exist but would never exist" (objectively speaking). What that means is, the fact that you exist is a miracle. You masturbating and wasting sperms (to the men) means you've given millions of children no opportunity to exist.
You being alive today is a miracle and it's what gratitude to God and your parents. DMX was a great rapper, many could exist but DMX lived the best life he could so could you.
Do not waste your life and make use of this opportunity you're giving?
